Hi @Ian Justine Baluya ,
According to the supported and recommended solutions provided by the official Microsoft article, there is currently no option to migrate specific legacy public folders to Exchange Online. Considering the complexity of migrating legacy public folders to Exchange Online, the verification of the public folders of the source server and the creation of the mapping file are all done by a specified script provide by Microsoft. The following article details how to use batch migration to migrate legacy public folders to Exchange online, this is the only supported public folder migration method.
Please refer to: Use batch migration to migrate legacy public folders to Microsoft 365 or Office 365 and Exchange Online
If you use the above solution, there are still points that need to be paid attention to before the migration. Such as:
- The version of on-premises Exchange server must be Exchange 2010 SP3 RU8 or later.
- In Exchange online, you are limited to 1,000 public folder mailboxes, and the maximum total size of all public folder mailboxes is 100 TB. Hierarchy Serving mailboxes are limited to 100 public folder mailboxes.
- Before start the migration batch, split the public folder into multiple public folders that are each 2 GB or less.
And so on, more information you could refer to the article provided above.
