This problem purely based on your monito/LCD hardware that automatically controls colour adjustment. Its totally irrelevant with your pc. Go and get repair your monitor/lcd.

    thanks.

    Hi Taprobane,

Display Data Channel-Command Interface (DDC/CI) allows a computer with a suitably designed graphics adapter to adjust monitor parameters such as brightness and color balance, or to initiate degaussing. DDC/CI monitors are sometimes supplied with an external color sensor, to allow automatic calibration of the monitor's color balance.

I would suggest you to refer to the article given below to perform a system restore and check if it helps.

    What is System Restore?

Note: When you perform System Restore to restore the computer to previous state, programs and updates you installed are removed.

Hope the informationhelps, if you have any further queries, feel free to post. We will be glad to assist you.

    Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately I get a feedback from Systems REstore that it could not complete successfully due to an unspecified error during restoration. I get the same reply to different points of restore that I did (within the last 10 days in June)

    Grateful for your help

    Hi Taprobane,

I would suggest you to try disabling Antivirus program installed on your computer.

Method 1: Disable third-party Security Software

    a) On your Computer screen Task Bar next to System Clock.

    b) You will see the third-party Security Software Icon.

    c) Click on the third-party Security Software Icon, you will see a pop up.

    d) In that pop and select the option to disable, click on it.

Now the third-party Security Software will be disabled.

Important Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

If the issue persists, try booting the computer in safe mode and peforming a System restore, if you are able to perform system restore, try performing clean boot.

    Method 2:

    Step 1: Perform safe mode.

Refer to the link given below and check if it helps.

Advanced startup options including safe mode

    Step 2:

    Perform Clean Boot.

To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot."

Important: Reset the computer to start as usual.

Note: After you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to boot to normal startup.

    a) Press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.

    b) In the ‘Run’ windows type ’MSCONFIG’ and click ‘Ok’.

    c) On the ‘General’ tab, click the ‘Normal Startup’ option, and then click ‘OK’.

    d) When you are prompted to restart the computer, click ‘Restart’.

Feel free to reply if you have any further queries, we are here to assist you.
