I am getting error code 0x80240031 during download of Windows 8.1 for 50% of Downloading. Can anybody help me fix this?

I realise this is an old thread but I restore notebooks from original recovery discs and ran into this problem. Tried all the usual answers but only this worked from tubsta. https://www.tubsta.com/2014/07/windows-8-1-update-0x80240031/ and changed the DNS server addresses to what he suggests. Kudos to tubsta.
