After update messages Error status 0xc000012f keeps coming up?

Question

Different messages keep popping up on my hp windows 8 laptop after I got the update downloaded onto my computer. Different windows keep coming up all concerning system32\uxtheme.dll for example:

Dropbox.exe - Bad Image

C:\Windows\system32\uxtheme.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f

it isn't just Dropbox.exe but also numerous different products and no matter how many times i press OK on many different programs more and more keep coming up it's never-ending how to i fix this please help.

Uninstall KB2879017 update.

Cumulative Security Update for IE 10 for Windows 8 x64 systems.

If you can't uninstall, restore to a previous point before the update.

Mark the update as hidden within Windows Update so it doesn't update again.

Well this is the first sensible thing I've read as to why my office 2103 product suddenly stopped working and I couldn't re-load it. So here goes .......................................................

I installed windows 8.1 d.d. 9/12/13. There is no update KB2879017.

Way to go MICROSOFT, you have messed up my computer, and I do NOT see no Cumulative Security Update for IE 10 for Windows 8 x64 systems, so wich other  one could it be? I keep getting the stupid uxtheme.dll error all over! after updating! I bet a LOT of people are really pissed off!

I have the same problem here! A bunch of programs just stopped working after the last update! This is ridiculous! I need a solution to this error and I need it now!
