RD Gateway All-in-One possible?

Hi,

on Server 2016 I have installed RDS via Quick Start and added later the RDGW-Role.
A public certificate is also installed and working fine for RD Web Access for external clients.
For RD GW I configured the properties incl. SSL cert and RDG CAP + RDG RAP.
The gole is to offer RDP over HTTPS via RDGW because we have activated the device license mode.

A Testclient is confugured with a RD Gateway Server DNS Name in the expand Properties.
But he not able to connect wihle the RD WebAccess is reachable (but not usefull in divice license mode...).

On the RDGW I discoverd that the HTTP-Listener for RDGW Service/Port was not activated - now it is but no connection will work.

Have you any idea or any guideline for this all-in-one-scenario?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Jens

    Hi,

Please help to confirm below information.

    1. Are RDSH, RDCB, RD Web Access, RDGW and RD Licensing installed on the same server?
    2. Have the certificate been installed for all RDCB, RD Web Access and RD Gateway roles and are they all trusted as below?

    3. Are both RDGW's internal and external names included in the SSL certificate?
    4. How you configured DNS so that external users can resolve the name of the RD Gateway to the right IP address?
Have you tried to ping the RDGW's external name on the test client to see if the test client can resolve the IP successfully?

Below is a blog about RDS Quick Start Deployment step by step. Please read it and follow the guidance to check if there is any problem in your environment.
