Corrupt SRUDB.dat file is there a quick fix?

I am getting this event every minute on a Windows 8 machine (Update 7.8.9200.16924):

svchost (1316) SRUJet: La lecture de pages de base de données à partir du fichier « C:\Windows\system32\SRU\SRUDB.dat » à l’adresse relative 4894720 (0x00000000004ab000) (page de base de données 1194 (0x4AA)) de 4096 (0x00001000) octets a échoué à la vérification à cause de l’absence de données de page. L’opération de lecture échouera en indiquant l’erreur -1019 (0xfffffc05). Si le problème persiste, restaurez la base de données à partir d’une version de sauvegarde antérieure. Ce problème est probablement dû à un matériel défectueux. Contactez votre fournisseur de matériel afin d’obtenir une assistance complémentaire pour diagnostiquer le problème.

I have sucessfully run 'sfc /scannow' and 'chkdsk /f /r /x', no errors were reported.

The machine is operating fine besides reporting that event every minute.

Is there an alternative to repairing/restoring the os?

For win10 , etc.

SRUDB.DAT ( file database jet)   is part of Policy diagnostic service

You can delete or rename the file...and the Policy diagnostic service  will recreate it...

The tricky part, is you have to restart in safe mode for rename or delete the file...

run msconfig , sélect restart safe mode

After restart,  rename or delete  SRUDB.DAT

run msconfig , select restart normal mode

Restart

After restart, You will Still have errror in the event viewer, but the folder SRU will be now  empty

Restart the Policy diagonstic service ...Nom you will have  a fresh SRUDB.DAT

Enjoy...I lost some hours to find the solution...

I have a similar problem.

I have the error 4 times a minute at (x min 00 sec)

When i open the task manager it occures even very second.

I have this issue since the shop changed my SSD for the 3th time and my motherboard in the shop.

  My old motherboard seems to have toasted my SSD.  (The shop still does not know how)

  But every 3 or 4 months my ssd FROZE UP.

  Every time they reinstalled a ghost so i didn't lose mush data.

But now OS is running perfect (for 1 year) except for the event error.

I have done the same as you and nothing worked. 

I dont want to reinstall the OS.  I keep on working with the event.  but I still want to resolve the issue.

I would like to inform you that this issue is related to failing hard drive or a locked hard drive from manufacturer's end.

As you have already tried multiple troubleshooting steps, I would request you to check with the manufacturer of your computer to repair the hard disk.
