Unable to install drivers on Windows 8.1

My PC is a SONY VAIO SVE1713X1EB with Windows 8.1 64 bits.

I am trying since hours to update or install drivers for different devices (Canon EOS camera, SD card reader, etc.).

I always get the following message:

Any suggestion?

    Hi Eliyas

    it seems that just deleting the registry as you suggested made everything work. Or, at least, I do not get any error message when I install a driver: the SD card reader works again!

    Should I have other problems, I will recontact you.
