How to hide the file preview pane on the "browse" window for uploading a file to a website?

Hi there,

I'm trying to remove this annoying file preview pane. This issue is quite strange.

When I open Libraries, there is no preview pane, it's absolutely fine. However, when I upload an image to a website like Twitter, Outlook or even here, on Internet Explorer, it has the preview pane in the right-hand corner. I've attached a screenshot.

Thank you.

    Hi

Thank you so much for posting your query on this forum. You have reached the right place and I will try my best to assist you with this issue.

To disable the preview pane on the browse window that appears when you try to upload the images/files to a website, you need to click on the “Hide the preview pane” button from the top right corner of that window.

Please find the screenshot image of this button below:

Hope this is helpful. Please get back to us if you need any further assistance with Windows Operating System.

    Hi Rajesh,

    Thank you for your reply.

Sadly I've already dried this. I am able to click that icon and the preview pane disappears, but then it appears again when I next upload an image.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thank you so much for getting back to us with the updates. I apologize for the delay in responding to this thread.

The above suggestion is working properly on my computer without any issues. If it is not working at your end, then we need to perform a deeper analysis on this issue and find the root cause of it.

Let us first check if this is caused by any corrupted system files on the computer. For this, let us run an SFC Scan and check the result.

    Run an SFC Scan

The “sfc /scannow” command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

    a) Click on “Start” button and type “cmd” in the search box.

    b) Right click on “Command Prompt” icon from the search results and then select “Run as administrator

    c) On the command prompt window, type the following command, and then press “Enter

    sfc /scannow

    d) Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the scan.

For more information, you may refer to the article given below:

***Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files***

Please get back to us with the scan result. We’ll be glad to assist you further.
