Hello guys, My question is , I cut and past some photos to a folder that i created on the desktop . Then I delete few of those photos . Then by using ctrl+z , I replaced those photos back there , but what happened was , by pressing ctrl+z , it deleted that whole folder with all of the photos in it. But again pressing ctrl+z it replaced the folder back to the desktop but all the data that was on that folder was gone , and ctrl+z won't work any more. I Checked the original possition where i copyied them , and they were not there either . I tried file recovery softwares to recover those data , but it didn't help my problem. Any help will be appreciated regarding how to get back those data .

Thanks

Where did you press Ctrl + Z (which means Undo last command)? What were you

    doing?

it depends on whether you’ve done just a delete (file appears in recycle bin) or Shift + del (file is not even seen in recycle bin). If you’ve just done delete and file is in recycle bin, then you can restore it by pressing CTRL + Z or from the recycle bin itself.

i pressed ctrl+z inside the folder , what happened was when i continually press ctrl+z it restored those individual files that i deleted earlier , and then it deleted all of the photos inside the folder then it deleted the folder too. Creating the folder was the first thing i did , then copying photos into that folder , then deleting some chosen ones .So i can understand that pressing ctrl+z , reestablished those indiviual photos , undo copy whole photo set from that folder and deleted folder as the last thing. but the question is those photos should have been moved back to it's original position isn't it .

    Hi Kavindaherath,

You may perform a full computer virus scan using Windows Defender to ensure that the computer is free from virus and restart the computer to check if the issue persists.

How do I find and remove a virus?: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-8/how-find-remove-virus

Safety Scanner Disclaimer: There could be a loss of data while performing a scan using Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate virus if any.

    Thank you.

This also happened with me... I highlighted and drag some photos from my iPad to some new folders. After moving them, I deleted all the original photos on the tablet since the memory was full. I forgot what I was doing but I pressed ctrl+z, which to my shock, deleted the whole folder! Instinctively, I pressed ctrl+z again to undo what I had done, which was pretty stupid of me, and I ended up deleting two more folders. -_-

I tried pressing ctrl+y, but it had no effect whatsoever...

It's also not in the recycle bin...

    And Recuva found nothing...

    Is it gone forever? ='(

Any hope help is tremendously appreciated.
