Hi @Adam L . I think at this point you should contact Microsoft directly or your licensing rep.
No one here can advise on licensing issues and would hate to see something go sideways if we did :)
Exchange Online Archiving for Exchange Server integration with Office 365 Business Standard
I would like to trial Exchange Online Archiving for Exchange Server. When I try to assign the license to my account I get an error message that says "You can't assign licenses that contain these conflicting services: Exchange Online (Plan 1), Exchange Online Archiving for Exchange Server. Review the services included with each license, and try again."
I use Exchange Online as part of my Office 365 Business Standard account. I believe that this article states that I should be able to use https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/exchange-online-archiving-service-description/exchange-online-archiving-service-description#exchange-online-archiving-plans.
Therefore I don't know why I am receiving the error.
Thanks in advance,
Adam

2021-02-09T08:45:41.72+00:00 Can you reproduce the issue with a new mailbox? Assign Microsoft 365 Business Standard license to it first then assign Exchange Online Archiving for Exchange Online, will same error reported?
And can you post some snapshots of the license page? In my lab Exchange Online Archiving for Exchange Online is not available, which service are you trying to assign actually?
