Error 0x800775F5 on some clients deploying application

Hi,
I'm testing deployment (of switching office 32-bit to 64-bit) as application in Config Mgr.

On some clients it works, while others fail with error:

0x800775F5 (-2146994699)

I'm not able to identify what the issue with this is, or what log-file might have the answer.

Any ideas?

    Without the entire context here, specifically what's in the AppEnforce.log, I can't say definitively, but that error is almost certainly from the command-line called and not ConfigMgr. Assuming that's the case, then you need to review the Office setup files (assuming you are running Office setup as your command-line). I can't find an official reference, but https://tuomi.ca/2017/03/26/troubleshooting-ms-office-install-issues-msi-click-to-run/ looks to contain info on where to find the setup log files for both MSI -based installs as well as click to run.

    Like Jason mentioned, we may check AppEnforce.log on client located in "C:\Windows\CCM\Logs".
    AppEnforce.log records details about enforcement actions (install and uninstall) taken for applications on the client.
    You may compare the logs from failed client with working client.

    From appenforce.log on unsuccessful client:

    *Executing Command line: "C:\WINDOWS\ccmcache\3\setup.exe" /configure Update_x64.xml with system context

    Post install behavior is BasedOnExitCode
    Waiting for process 19860 to finish.  Timeout = 120 minutes.
    Process 19860 terminated with exitcode: 2147972597
    Looking for exit code -2146994699 in exit codes table...
    Unmatched exit code (2147972597) is considered an execution failure.*
    

    I deleted the cached folder for office, so that it downloaded again before next try. But still the same error.

    Strangly I cannot find Appenforce.log on the clients where this deployment has succeded.
