Removal of diagtrackrunner.exe from windows 7 pro

Question

I have read that optional update KB3022345 has installed diagtrackrunner, I want to remove this program, how can I do it?

I have reviewed the updates in windows updates and there is NO KB3022345 update listed.  I have tried to find the update to reinstall and cannot kind a update to reinstall to uninstall. I do not know the accuracy of this information , as I got it from another forum -  i listed it here to show what I have tried.

Found my answer :

diagtrackrunner is found in update KB2952664 as listed here -  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2952664 - the uninstall from control panel results in system hanging on for 20+ minutes on "configuring Windows updates - Do Not turn off your computer -  after 20 mins of this screen - I powered off and the system resumed the un-install and diagtrackrunner.exe was deleted as well as the parent folder.

Just an FYI in case anyone else has the issue.

Thought this might be great but whenever I click on your link, the page won't load and I get an error message that my internet connection is bad.  Not a problem for any other site.

diagtrackrunner appears to be in three places this attempt only removed 1 of the 3 version on the system..... will have to research the other updates to find the installers of these versions.....

Many of these diagnostic and telemetry programs have been installed as part of of the march toward Windows 10 and the new application model that Microsoft has embraced. I found this guide at https://fix10.isleaked.com/oldwindows.htmlto be useful in identifying which of the KB updates have additional diagnostic and telemetry executables and helping me to decide which ones I'd like to uninstall.
