Unable to Format Micro SD Card

Hi Experts,

My Micro SD Card just stopped working. So i tried to format it but it says I/O device error. I tried many alternate ways but was unsuccessful.

Kindly help me out with your advice's and let me know what can be done. 

Attached are the screen shots.

    Hi 

    Method 1

    1. Start, Control Panel, 
    2. Performance and Maintenance, 
    3. Administrative Tools, 
    4. Computer Management, 
    5. Disk Management, 
    6. Find the USB drive (usually the last storage device before the optical drive), 
    7. Click on the USB drive, 
    8. Right click on it and you will see the options (New Partition or Format) 
    9. Follow the instruction (I chose FAT32), but please do NOT chose Quick Format.

    Metho 2

    Just Right Click My Computer Choose Manage 

    Then at Computer Management choose Disk Management 

    At Disk2 Right Click at your "Protect Removable Disk" ex: "Removable Disk (F:)" 

    and Choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths for ....." 

    Simple Click "REMOVE", then Click "ADD", simple .... 

    Try to Format Yours then Try to Copy Another files

    Hi Santanu,

    Thanks for your quick efforts. But sorry to say both the methods ddn't work. Its says unable to format.

    Is there any other way to do so. Just thought to inform you that Capacity shows me as " Unknown Capacity " even after add and Remove.

    If that doesn't work, it's probably failed.

    Was this card was inserted to any camera device ? like nikon or Samsung camera?

    Try to put this card into Samsung mobile and see if format option is showing or not

    Try with other OS like linux also

    still if it not happening ,probably card is corrupted you gt to change it ,if it is in warranty 

    Have you tried method 2 ?

    Thanks for advice.

    This was used in a samsung Mobile as its a Micro SD card. Even in phone the option is not reflecting.

    Yes i had tried the second option also. Please check my earlier screen shots that even doesn't work either.
