Does Windows 10 support mdns.

I am not looking for Bonjour solution. I want to use native Win32 API for registering and browsing services with mdns. However, I do not see any useful documentation on DnsAPI in Windows. Can you please confirm if Windows supports mdns functionality and if so can you please provide links to useful documentation that can help me get started. I

    Hi ,

    As far as I know, this is a known issue in windows 10 TH2 and TH1 version. And this issue was fixed in Windows 10 TH2 (1511) and above.

    For newest windows 10, it will not have such problem.

    In the link it is mentioned that without Third party service mDNS in Windows does not respond. Is this correct or has there been any update.

    Please pay attention to what Jens Habegger said:

    Starting with Windows 10, Microsoft made strides towards a native Windows implementation of mDNS and DNS-SD.
    While earlier iterations have been limited to UWP apps, a general Win32 API has been exposed from at least SDK version 10.0.18362.0 (1903/19H1, May 2019).
    Note: This implementation is currently confirmed working only for 64bit build targets, there is an open issue preventing compilation for 32bit targets.
