I have had to redo my computer. WIN 10.  I was running program Microsoft Digital Image with no problems. After my redo, I tried reloading Digital Image, and got a answer back you can't load this program because it will not run on a 64 bit computer. I Just upgraded my wifes computer to WIN 10 and the program runs fine.

There must be a way to load this program, When I was running my WIN 7 64 bit, it loaded and run just fine. There must be a way to load this program.

Hi Bob, I am Paulo. I'm an Independent Advisor and an individual like you inclined to help out.

You'll have slim chances of successfully installing old software in the latest version of Windows 10. If you want to install an old app like the Microsoft Digital Image, you might as well run it in compatibility mode to Windows 7.

Right-click on the installer then choose Properties. On the Compatibility tab, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" then choose Windows 7

    I hope this helps.

It didn't work.  I would like to know how it works on my computer. Also how I was able to load the program on my computer before malware took hold and I had to reload WIN 10.

    Thanks for trying

Hi, I'm Elise, an independent advisor and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

Other users have reported that this solution works:

    * First close all running programs and open documents.

    * Double click on the Digital Image Suite setup file from you original disk.

    * If the User Account Control promptes you to give permission, just authorize it.

    * Select a few options available. When it says “The Windows Update: Internet Explorer and Internet Tools cannot be installed on this computer. This product does not install on 64-bit platforms.” message, click OK button to contunie.

    * You will get the second usual error “Setup has detected that Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 installation was not completed. The installation may have been cancelled, or you may not have enough free space on your disk.” Don’t click it.

Return to your desktop, press the Win+X from your keyboard, click on Shut down or sign out > Sign out.

    * Window 10 wait for intervention and cannot carry the operation. Wait a few seconds to sign in again, click on Cancel button > OK. Now the installation runs well.

There are also a number of other suggestions on this previous thread:

    Kind Regards,
