Installed AVG free antivirus and uninstalled later; however a startup item AVG_ul will disable but will not delete. Also AVG.msl is running in task manager and will not end process or delete. MaAfee security scan reports AVG antivirus is running, and cannot end program. System scan cannot find AVG program. Is this a case of 3rd party software not allowing delete? I am logged in as system administrator with full permissions. How do I delete/shred all avg files anywhere?

What's your Anti-Virus product?
FWIW: Windows 10 comes with in-built Anti-virus protection Windows Defender (Configure Windows Defender in Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 )
Try the AVG Remover tool: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG&l=en_US
and/or
