There is no problem with the KB descriptions, but rather with what Windows Update tells you; that is, you have to go to the KB page to check every update (unless it says security or Windows Defender). They actually sent out a Windows Defender or other security update a day after I installed another update.
How do I prevent Microsoft from installing Compattelrunner.exe malware on my comptuer?
This is the fourth time I have found this malware running on my computer after removing three previous updates responsible for it.
I have accordingly written all Windows products lousy recommendations in every possible venue (e.g. Amazon.com) and filed a complaint with the FTC. The bottom line is, in fact, that it is illegal to install unwanted software on somebody's computer, and Microsoft is ignoring the permission settings for automatic updates. Please tell me if I need to act on this, or if the problem is going to stop.
Here is the review I just posted for you on Amazon.
Based on my experience with Windows 7.
Installs malware (compattelrunner.exe, an executable that can take over more than 70% of your CPU) while disregarding your update settings ("download updates, but ask me which to install"). Reinstalls this malware after you remove it; this review was prompted by finding it on my computer for the fourth time after I removed it three previous times.
http://searchmidmarketsecurity.techtarget.com/definition/malware
"Malware (for "malicious software") is any program or file that is harmful to a computer user." which includes Compattelrunner.exe due to its effect on computer performance even though it obviously does not damage files, hold the computer for ransom, and so on.

2016-04-14T18:34:13+00:00 If looking to block Windows 10 upgrade, GWX Control Panel is available:

Select Downloads on the right-hand-side of the page and then download: 1.7.4.1

2016-04-14T18:34:08+00:00 I found that Microsoft had reinstalled KB2952664 after I uninstalled it, in total disregard for my update permission settings. Now Control Panel won't uninstall it.
I just sent the following complaint to the Federal Trade Commission:
Microsoft Update installes an executable, Compattelrunner.exe, on my computer without my permission; the Windows Update function ignores my setting, "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them." This executable serves no legitimate purpose and it degrades my computer's performance by using more than 70% of the CPU while causing noticable performance problems (e.g. programs running slowly or hanging up). I have uninstalled the responsible update (KB2952664) but found it on my computer again today--this is the fourth time I have found Compattelrunner.exe, and at least the second I have found KB2952664. Now I cannot even uninstall it; I tried to do so from the Control Panel and was told without explanation, "An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled." Microsoft has ignored complaints about this issue, and is now not even letting me remove the unwanted program from my computer.

2016-04-14T18:27:10+00:00 I see that KB2952664 was reinstalled without my permission, after I uninstalled it. This will make an excellent story for nationwide publication on Microsoft and the quality of its products.
In addition, Control Panel won't uninstall it!

2016-04-14T18:26:02+00:00 I mean Compattelrunner.exe is itself malware, as defined by unauthorized installation and undesirable effects.
