Hello Team,

We have a plan to migrate SharePoint 2013 to 2019 . We have enterprise license for SharePoint 2013 and 2019. My query is can I use SharePoint 2016 trail license for this migration. I would like to build a temporary farm with trail key and update db's then migrate to SharePoint 2019.

Will this approach work? We don't want to buy license for SharePoint 2016 for temporary purpose.

Thanks,
Subash

Yes, you can use a trial license for the temporary farm to upgrade.

    Hi, anonymous user-5408 ,

Just like Trevor said, for a temporary farm set for migration, a trial license will be enough for you.
