How long can a product be in preview?

Question

Just wondering how long a product can be in preview, i.e. asking people to look at a sugested new product, try it, build competence around it, but not being ble to use it in a production scenario (unless using it unsupported)?

This has been in preview for over two years now. I am of course asking because I would find this really useful... but it looks like it will never be shipped.

I do get a feeling, as it seems not work as good on windows web apps, that Linus web apps are hold back.

I understood azure service (Access Azure Storage (preview) as a network share from a container in App Service) still shows in preview mode.

@Björn Hasselberg Thanks for asking question! Below is the update from PG regarding Access Azure Storage (preview) as a network share from a container in App Service
It is being actively worked on, and we do plan to GA the feature in the next few months. Nothing more specific in terms of ETAs that are share-able externally at this point.
