SCOM 2012 : Process monitoring and the required management pack

Hi.
I have been told by my SCOM team that the Version we have , doesn't have the required management pack to monitor processes ( we have few application processes to be monitored ). Is this true that Process monitoring is not there out of the box. Can someone help with the Supported MP required to enable this.
Would also like to know if such MP's have any kind of license cost etc.

I am not a SCOM guy, neither i have access to the SCOM environment.

    Hi,

It seems we can do it with SCOM 2012, which is under Authoring pane. It's part of job of OS monitoring. No special management packs are required if we have imported the OS management packs.

For more information, we may refer to:
    Process Monitoring Template
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh457551.aspx

Management packs are free to use and here's the catalog. We can either download them, unpack them and import them from the disk or import the management packs from the catalog directly (if the SCOM server has Internet access)
