Legacy Geforce 6150se nforce 430 -- Random BSOD's with 1709

Have a few NVIDIA 6150se nforce 430 that were perfectly stable on Windows 10 Home 1703.

Came in to do maintenance and the upgrade to 1709 had been installed and all of them now BSOD at random times.

BSOD:PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA

Driver: 309.xx 2015

nvlddmkm.sys

Lots of people on the NVIDIA forums are reporting it as well with the NVIDIA 6150se nforce 430.

Backed out the upgrade (1709) and unfortunately these are all Windows 10 Home versions with no built-in way to keep 1709 from re-installing.

Had to use the Windows 10 Hide Update tool.. not sure how long that will last or if a new update will go down and break them again.

All PCs are now running 1703 and are stable with no with no BSODs.

I don't expect MS to keep supporting the legacy hardware & drivers, but at least if the hardware is not compatible not install these updates automatically.

Same identical hardware and software issue here (6150SE GPU, NVidia 309.08 driver)

Found a better test than random BSOD, use Google earth. Runs perfect with Win10 1703, 1709 has rendering problem in main window (all black). Clearly something changed in graphics subsystem.
