Real Player/Real Times/Real Downloader

Question

Real Downloader is not working right, any more! Its FRUSTRATING me!!!

1. Unable to Download Videos
2. When I right click on a video from my library, do a locate file, what comes up is either a blue clipboard, or no file at all!

3)The files used to be the same picture as what was in the library. But that's gone.

We just want to follow up on your concern and check if you've already tried Greg Carmack's suggestion above to uninstall and reinstall the software. Otherwise, we suggest that you do so and check if the issue persists after reinstalling it.

Hi Tony. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

No expert in Forums where we see the most cases (by the tens of thousands) recommends RealPlayer bloatware but we do solve problems by having it uninstalled.

If you need another player than Windows Media Player then I'd install the experts' favorite free VLC open source media player, which will pick up all file types that WMP can't play by default, and also serve as a DVD player in Windows 10 where they decided not to include it and the one they want you to buy is buggy. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

Didn't work!

Please let me know if it was working previously and all of a sudden it stopped working after a Windows update?

Please update to the latest version of RealPlayer to:

1. Open RealPlayer.
2. Click the logo, then Check for Update:

• If the Message Center window appears, click Update to get the latest version of RealTimes/RealPlayer.
• If the AutoUpdate window appears, scroll through the list, select RealPlayer or any plug-ins that you want to update, and click Install. Plug-ins will install automatically.

3. If prompts appear for additional steps, follow them for complete installation. You may need to make sure that the program is running with administrator privileges and that you are logged in under an administrator account.

NOTE: You can also download the updated version from http://www.real.com.
