Intel Wireless Bluetooth not working

I started my computer today and noticed I couldn't use my bluetooth devices. When I went to the Device Manager, I noticed my Intel Wireless Bluetooth was not working properly. The error message "This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE" displays in preferences. I've done the following already and still have the issue:

Disable and Enable the device

Check Windows update

Check device for updated driver software

Checked Intel for updated driver sofware

Run the Windows Bluetooth troubleshooter

Run the Windows Hardware and Devices troubleshooter

Uninstalled the device and driver software, rebooted and scanned for hardware changes to reinstall the device, reinstalled the driver software

I did that last one twice. The only thing I can get to happen is the device seems to cycle between "working properly" and the error message at least 20 times before finally deciding  "This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE"

To anyone still encountering this issue,

Microsoft is aware of an issue having to do with Intel drivers conflicting with Bluetooth drivers, resulting in a loss of Bluetooth functionality and possibly the actual Bluetooth icon/button itself. We are actively investigating the issue and I will reply back to this thread once I have an update.

    Sorry for your troubles!

Any update yet? This is a serious problem which isn't helped by techs telling people to reinstall windows.

Editing this, I was replying to a wrong discussion. But this is how I got mine working. That's exactly how it shouldn't be. Microsoft needs to get their stuff together and not tell reinstall Windows would help. As you might know, the problem will persist as long as Microsoft doesn't sign the drivers. That's what this is all about. This is poorly executed by Microsoft. The drivers' aren't signed by Microsoft (that's what error 52 is).

I didn't have any issues whatsoever until I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro which I need for the things I do in my work place. It wasn't nice when my Bluetooth headphones didn't work with my computer. I've got iPhone 7 from my work so that's why I am nowadays using Bluetooth. But yeah story aside here is my solution for you.

This is how I got my Bluetooth to work again. You can try to fix the problems by doing the following:

    1. Open PC Settings (Start  and Settings from the menu).
    2. When settings is opened continue by clicking Update and Security and within that select recovery.
    3. There are a few options to select from but to fix this problem you'll need to select Restart nowfrom the recovery options**.**
    4. Your computer will reboot. After that's done select "Troubleshoot" -option. After that you'll need to select "Startup Settings" and there is only one option to select from, which is "Restart".
    5. When your computer restarts again, you can either press the number keys or then function (f-keys). The option you'll need to select is the following: "Disable driver signature enforcement".

After that, check that Bluetooth works as it should. You should also be able to turn Bluetooth on in the settings of your PC. Hopefully you can fix your Bluetooth as well. If this helps, please let me know. I wish I provided you enough help to solve this issue that Microsoft should've done a months ago when people started noticing this.

    Sorry for your troubles!

I spent $2000 for a laptop that has been plagued with this Intel issue since July. This is basic functionality. What sort of reimbursement are you making to customers affected?

    May 7!!!

Nothing has been done since April, Microsoft??

It is the second time in 3 months I'm encountering the issues with a vital services just because Your Highness Windows needs updates!

    That is awfully unprofessional!

Seems like you're heading down for a big lawsuit like your colleagues from Apple with slowing down the devices.

    Is that what you want?

P.S. Test your stuff million times before dumping it!
