Turned off all suspend power options for USB ports and ran driver updates. Uninstalled ports and rebooted still same issue. Even updated Bios from Manufacturer site still same issue. I am praying this is a software issue I can't afford a new Laptop rtm. Does anyone have a fix for me please?

Win 10 64 bit.

I'm Greg, a volunteer installation specialist and 8 year WIndows MVP here to help you.

What happened just before this change? Did you receive Fall Creators Update version 1709? Check at Settings>System>About.

If so you can roll it back to the older version at Settings>Update & Security>Recovery. Then hide it using the Hide Updates Tool here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930

If it is still an older version and you had regular Updates cause problems you can uninstall them at Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update>Installed Updates at the Uninstall Updates link, and then hide them using the Hide Updates Tool.

You can also try manually installing Fall Creators Version 1709 by installing the Media Creation tool in this link to Upgrade Now. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/m... If you have problems with it you can roll it back afterwards in Settings>Update & Security>Recovery.

Otherwise you can go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

But remember that Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. Consider doing the Clean Install in this link which compiles the best possible install that will stay that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

If nothing else works what I would do to know for sure if this is a Windows issue is to shrink C and do a test Clean Install with the latest media to the space you shrunk. This will create a Dual Boot with the old OS so you can consider the new install a construction site until you get it all set up. If it avoids the problem go ahead and set it up, move files over, reinstall programs and when ready I'll help you remove the old Windows install using Partition Wizard free manager to delete it and resize C into it's space.

I just did the same for other cascading problems with the Upgrade to Version 1709 and the Clean install solved them all so I deleted my old install and resized C into its space in 5 minutes.

We are volunteers willing to help you try to resolve this issue.

Automatically diagnose and fix USB problems

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17614/...

There could be an issue with the BIOS and chipset drivers so check with

your System/Motherboard maker to ensure you have the latest available. Also, update any USB drivers from the System/Motherboard Maker's site.

If a PC remove all power then remove and reseat the USB cables (be careful) as this could be a bad connection issues.

Try using a Powered USB Hub to stabilize the USB platform.

Please let us know the results and if you need further assistance.

It was doing it before the Update which is why I updated it hoping it would fix it nothing new to my knowledge has been downloaded previous to that bar Game updates so rolling it back I presume isn't going to help me, also I should of mentioned ran Malwarebytes and IobitFighter they found nothing amiss.  Going through checklist rather concerned it won't let me on an Adminstrator account run  sfc/scannow and tells me I am not on an Admin account :-s

What is the make and model of the computer?

Which version of Windows 10 is installed?

Have you installed the latest chipset drivers?
