Windows 10 crashing/restarting after waking up from sleep/hibernation.

Hi,

I am facing a problem which I never faced earlier. I have windows 10 enterprise version with upto date  drivers. I'm on version 1709 OS build 16299.0.

I have a tendency to close my lappy by closing the lid before sleeping and resuming the work in the morning from where I left. So far I never faced problem in resuming. But for the past few weeks my lappy does Not resume from sleep and hibernation mode both. It crashes and restart often but not always. There is no issue with battery and heat vent. I also have no HDD space issue. Battery remains enough and temperature also below average.

Can Microsoft fix this bug which it shipped with the latest build please??

Thanks

Regards

    Hello,

A few reasons why a computer crashes after it resumes from sleep mode are driver issues and power settings issues. For us to assist you, we recommend that you download the latest version of your display driver from its manufacturer's website.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you turn off the feature Fast Startup. By doing this, it will ensure you that all the hardware of your PC will start up once you turn on your PC. Here's a link that you can visit for you to see how to do it. From there, you'll see a thread with a similar issue, but it has been answered by one of my colleagues, Kerwin Lee.

Let us know how it goes and if you need further assistance, feel free to post back.

I already told in my earlier reply that I have latest version of ALL the drivers. Also my fast start up is already disabled. But the issue is STILL persisting. It ruins all my hard work. I cannot continue from where I left in the night.

We appreciate the information that you have provided. Since the issue persists, we suggest that you run the built-in troubleshooter in Windows 10 to check and resolve issues with power. Here's a simple guide on how to do it:

    1. Press the Start button.
    2. Type Control Panel, and then hit Enter.
    3. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
    4. Click on Troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
    5. Run the Power troubleshooter.

Kindly update us with the results and if you have further queries, feel free to post back.
