tasks in outlook

We've been using the Tasks in Outlook, office wide 12 users, for a while now. Just noticed this week that all of our tasks have their % completed set to zero. We did use this and had them set to a percentage.

How did they get set to zero?

Other the using a backup, is there a way to get them back?
