Hi Leonardo. I'm Greg, a volunteer installation specialist and 8 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

Type CMD in Start Search, right click Command Prompt to Run as Admin, paste these Commands each followed by Enter:

    DISKPART

    LIST DISK

SEL DIS # (replace # with the external drive number)

    LIST PART

SEL PART # (replace # with the external's partition number)

    ASSIGN

    EXIT

If that fails install free Partition Wizard, right click external to Assign a Drive Letter. http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html

If that fails and drive is empty, delete it's partition in PW, run Surface Scan to find it's condition, then Create a New NTFS Logical Partition, assign a letter. https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

    Press Windows key + X

    Click Device Manager

    Expand Disk Drives

Right click the USB if its listed there

    Click Uninstall

    Exit Device Manager then restart.

thanks for the reply but they all failed :(

and delete partition it will delete all its contents?

some observations: i use several partitions on my PC, truecrypt volumes that i mount times to times

maybe something to do with drive letter conflict?

and i read somewhere that sometimes somehow the xbox app prevent windows to mount nfts volume or something like that...i don't know....

    Feeling Hopeless man :(

Yes, you wouldn't want to delete the partition until data is moved off from another PC.

Is the drive readable on another PC?

Have you done a lot of tweaking of Windows? It won't tolerate too much.

Do you have a restore point before the drive wouldn't mount a letter? http://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/how-t...
