Hi I have been trying to update my laptop to the latest Win 10 1803 for days now.

I am NOT an insider. I have checked my laptop is compatible. I ran the troubleshooter for the windows update.

I have already spent the day trying to download the update from microsoft's website only for it to fail to install the 1803 on my USB (It is a blank 16GB USB with no problems) and it is currently (after I have formatted the USB) downloading again and is up to (Progress 83% Download).

My windows updater has also just downloaded it and failed again with code: 0xc1900130

The error I got before was: 0x80240034 but now I get 0xc1900130.

Until the update downloads to the USB I can't try that option.

Is there some kind of major error with this update?

I am having the same error.

I am NOT an insider. I have tried to download it using windows media creator and that failed to even get it on the USB.

I have been having trouble with this update since it came available to wide distribution.

I have ran the windows troubleshooter and it has cleared and fixed any issues and I am still getting random errors such as:

     Error 0xc1900130, 0x80240034

If the media creation update for 1803 fails again to install on the USB I have no idea what to do next. Some help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem on two of our company's machines. I have updated to 1803 (10.0.17134.48) on 20+ machines and most of them have gone through the update process without big issues (some settings disappeared for a few users and all Outlook signatures disappeared) but the update itself went through. On less than 5 machines I had to use the Update Troubleshooter tool, but after one try they worked as well.

    BUT,

Two tablets (one running 10.0.10240 and one running 10.0.16299.125) will not update at all. One of them has 13 failed tries, with 0xc1900130 as the most recent error code. I have tried all of the above, but the tablets won't take the updates. Right now I just want to throw these tablets in the trash. It is really annoying.

Mine only went through after live chatting with microsoft support. They took control of the computer, fixed the windows update & downloaded the 1803 ISO file to my pc. It ran & installed fine - the only thing I had to reinstall was the language pack.

I recommend going to the support section & live chatting.

Did you solve this? I have the same problem. Also not an insider, the update should work for my PC.

But instead is freezing and asking manually to uninstall Kaspersky antivirus (which I have NOT installed.)

I got it resolved through going on a live chat with microsoft support. I recommend it! They reset my windows updates & got the update to download directly to my pc. Other than reinstalling the English uk language it was fine.
