MS Teams Desktop app does not close fully

Using Version 1.4.00.2879

All the correct settings are in place - removed the tick next to 'On close; keep the application running'

But on exit the app closes, the task bar icon remains active and processes are still listed on the Task Manager.

One thing I have noticed is that there is now a menu option in that app called 'Accounts & Orgs'
I have not logged on with any other accounts and the menu only lists the current organisation I am using.

Not sure if these are linked!

Any ideas on how to get the teams app to exit fully and close all processes?

Thanks
Derek

Same here. When closing by red cross the teams processes keep running. Cannot re-open Teams until all running teams processes are killed manually. Has anyone ever filed a support case as suggested by @Sharon Zhao-MSFT ?

Have you tried in your O365 Admin Portal?

The exact opposite is the case with me. Even though On close, keep the application running is checked, when I press the cross button, the application completely closes itself and I cannot receive any notifications in the background.

RE: 'Solution' from Nov 3, 2023, 8:41 AM

Tested this behaviour and it does not provide the opposite effect as expected.

Meaning, switching the button to 'keep the application in background on close ([X] button)' does not provide a solution.

However, I noticed that the 'close application' from the taskbar tray icon works as desired per original question from Feb 20, 2021, 1:21 PM.
