I have asked this question, where is my email/address list since I received my new computer (windows 10) coming from a windows XP computer.  After using Windows XP, which was

very simple to understand, this Windows 10 is ridiculous....not being able to find my email/address book is very disconcerting as I used the information in that list all of the time.....what is the big secret....any directions I have received are so confusing, I've just about give up.....one tech did tell me to go to Yahoo and I should be able to locate my list...in fact I did, but only part of the list was available.  Does anyone know of a way to see this list in windows 10.....in plain English please, step by step please, I'd sure appreciate it.

I want to try to make this as easy as possible for you, so I think we have 2 options that make sense.

1st one - We would need to log into yahoo mail on the web, export your contacts, then log into outlook.live.com - then navigate to here - https://outlook.live.com/owa/?path=/people and import the contacts. After syncing, they should start appearing in The People app.

The process is a bit lengthy, but I have the steps if you’d like to give it a shot.

2nd - You right click on your desktop, click “new” then select shortcut. Paste https://login.yahoo.com into it, Call it Yahoo Mail, and now you’ll have a Yahoo Mail shortcut right to your desktop. It’ll go to the web version of yahoo mail, but all your mail, contacts, etc will be there.

Let me know if either of these sound good!

Hmmmm, as I search the web, I’m finding out you’re not the only one with this issue. Others have brought it up as well, and the resolution doesn’t seem clear.

I’m trying to figure out what the best method will be for us to proceed will be...

    Hi Jien,

I’d love to try to help. I’m going to ask some questions to make sure we’re on the same page.

On your windows 10 Pc, you’ve setup Mail (using the windows app) and it sounds like it’s your Yahoo mail account? If this is true, I think the “People” app should have your contacts.

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Where-...

Click on start, and type “People” and open it up. See if you have your contacts in there.

Let me know how this goes, and we’ll go from there! I’m here to help and we’ll get through this one way or another!

I did as you suggested as I have done before, and no the contacts are not there......at least I didn't see them. There were a few from Microsoft, but no email/address contacts.
