How to remove setup email alert from SharePoint 2016 doc library. SharePoint doc library email alert on library changes will still be available (ex. uploaded/added, updated document) except the first notification during the first creation of alert in a library ok. how can we remove it via ootb or coding. appreciate your help

First Concern
We want to disable only the alert from the first time that it was setup and notifies you that you have subscribed to a particular list. I just want to know if where can I find to modify or disable it. It is not part of the alert_template.xml.

Second Concern.
I have also created and deployed a custom handler that handles notification for created and updated document in a list which works perfectly except that it is not triggered or sends notification when an item is deleted.

Appreciate your help.

Hi @Joseph Al ,

To remove alerts set to a library, please take a reference to the following steps:

Go to the SharePoint library where you want to set the alert.

Select Library, select Alert Me, and then select Manage My Alerts.

Beside name of the alert that you want to delete, select the checkbox.

Select Delete Selected Alerts, and then select OK.

Hi AllenXu,

Thanks for the response. I'm only referring to the first notification during the first creation, it sends an alert that you subscribed in a particular list. We want to get rid of the email or if possible modify the contents of that email. is there a way ootb or via code? We still want the alert for the upload/update except for the first setup of alert email.

Is this a dead end for the modification of the new alert message? There is no way to handle the modification?
