Azure AD Connect netbios name

Hi,

I've an environment contain NetBIOS name with "." example abc.com as netbios name
And Azure AD Connect (On-Premise) doesn't support Netbios names with ".", is there other work around, so that i can sync users to Azure Portal.

Using on-premises forests or domains by using "dotted" (name contains a period ".") NetBIOS names isn't supported.

To be supported, no.

Domain Name Rename is possible unless you have an Exchange Server installed in the forest:

Thanks for the information, there is on-premise exchange 2010. As i will not recommend to do the rename for netbios name. Will there be tool able to sync AD accounts to Azure or O365, which still possible to leverage on it?
