I'm working with Windows 2000 on a new 2019 Active Directory. (Yes old OS. I know.)

After joining when I look at the permissions I see SIDs instead of the display names. I've read mention of some group policy changes.

Windows 2000 went end of life in year 2010 so I would not have any expectations that it will work along side of Server 2019.

Seems like I fooled myself. After making the GP change for a little while it seems to work. After rebooting the 2k system it stopped working.
