Problems with Azure VM and disks question body

Azure Windows VM takes at least 5 minutes to stop/deallocate. Also data disk got dettached after a windows update. Why can those happen?

- Which VM series and size are you using (provide configuration details)?
- In which region is your VM configured?
- What is it's operating system?
- What are you running on it?
- And, which data disk got detached after
Windows Update- How did you get to know this?

- prod-vm-datadisk-0. It just was not there.
Also, althought AADLoginForWindows looks to works initially (we can use the credentials to login) we get stuck in a screen that states "The sign-in method you’re trying to use isn’t allowed". User has proper VM RBAC role, is member of local administrators and remote desktop users group and there's no policy that denies him access.
