READ THIS ID YOU HAVE A GAMING PC OR LAPTOP FOR BRIGHTNESS FIX

GUYS IF YOU HAVE MESSED AROUND IN ARMOURY CRATE ON YOU PC OR LAPTOP CHECK THERE FOR A FIX. IF YOU HAVE SWITCHED THE GPU SETTINGS ON YOU DEVICE IN ARMOURY CRATE OR ANYWHERE ELSE ON YOU DEVICE YOUR ABILITY TO CHANGE BRIGHTNESS WILL BE AFFECTED

I HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR MONTH AND FINALLY DECIDED TO TRY FIXING IT BUT NOTHING MUCH HELPED ONLINE, THEY SAY ALL SAY THE SAME THINGS. BUT I DECIDED TO TRY FIX IT ON MY OWN. I DISCOVERED AND REMEMBERED THAT I CHANGED UP THE GPU SETTINGS FOR GAMING, AFTER CHANGING IT BACK TO DEFAULT I COULD CHANGE THE BRIGHTNESS LATER

THIS IS A MUST TRY IF YOUR BRIGHTNESS CHANGE IS NOT WORKING, SAVE YOURSELVES SOME TIME AND FRUSTRATION. THANK ME LATER

Hi, I experienced the same problem. You can try going to System > Display > HDR and then I enabled Auto HDR and under SDR Content Brightness, the brightness slider showed up and I was able to slide it to change the brightness vs. the brightness slider in the home page. I hope that helps, and that my explanation was correct.

    Hello,

I understand your frustration. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Restart Your Computer
    2. Check Brightness Settings: Go to Settings > System > Display and ensure that the "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes" option is turned off.
    3. Update Display Drivers: Outdated drivers can cause issues with brightness control. Open Device Manager, find your display adapter, right-click it, and select Update driver.

If none of these steps work, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

    I hope this helps!

Unfortunately this isn't working on my laptop, everything is updated already, I don't have the option to uninstall the driver without disabling the device and I'm kind of concerned that disabling the GPU might make it very difficult to enable it again if my screen goes off.

What else am I able to try?
