Why are my messages no longer aligned to the right hand side in Chat

Usually in Teams, your own messages are right aligned in another colour.

In browser, I am still seeing them this way but on my desktop application, all my messages are now left aligned and in the same colour as everyone else's. It looks as though my responses are from someone else and makes it less user-friendly to read a conversation.

Is this a setting I've accidentally enabled or is this a bug?

P.S. I tried to attach screenshots but kept getting error messages when trying to attach jpg or png files.

    Alright, try this:

    1. Click on the three dots on the top-right corner of your Teams app and then select Settings.
    2. Then under General settings, select Comfy.

    Kindly Note: Screenshots attached for both steps

    Check if the issue is still there and then let me know the status.

    Hi again, Nazia.

    I've just actually managed to fix it by setting it to "Compact" (which did change the display again), restarting Teams and then setting it back to "Comfy".

    This is now back to how it should be.

    I believe I nearly got your issue, but to be more specific, I need a screenshot of the application. If you search for "free picture hosting link," you can discover a few options. Choose one, upload the image, and then provide the link.

    Is it accurate that the conversation appears in the middle, with the person with whom you are chatting on the left, the chat's details on the right, and your chat in the middle?
