I have a HP 23-q113 (Touch). On Feb 28 the touchscreen suddenly stopped functioning. I researched and uninstalled it. I have tried numerous advosed solutions for this. Nothing still. I did a factory reset and the computer kept saying it wasn't a touch. Today I did a UEFI test. It showed no problems. I tried to do an update from HP with the drivers chipset. I had some problems with that. Yet when I restarted my computer the device manger shows HID compliant touchscreen. Under details it says it is not connected to the computer.![75614-screenshot-26.png][1] [1]: /api/attachments/75614-screenshot-26.png?platform=QnA Is there a driver for this that I can install on my computer? The driver provider is Microsoft. The driver date is 2006. The driver version is 10.0.19041.1 Parent device USB\VID_222A&PID_00A7&MI_00\6&162ac17e&0%0000 I hope someone can help me. Marnie70

You could follow the suggestion to reconnect this hardware device to the computer then scan for hardware changes, right-click this touch screen select update driver software.
Besides, from what I can teel, there is a tool called HP Support Assistant which can automatically search for all the latest drivers for your device. Download it from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/pl_ot_ob_ds_pd/hpsupportassistant_cc/dt
    Also, Refer to official guide.

Hello, Thank you for commenting on my post. The touchscreen in the device manager has not got the choice to enable the device, just to update it.

I have the HP Support Assistant. I tried them and did what the page suggested. I updated as they suggested. I even tried to calibrate the pen and touch. No pen and touch was located on my computer. I ran the UEIF tool and nothing. Passed them all.

Since this is a Windows Microsoft driver shouldn't Microsoft have a download for this driver?

Also, there isn't a power managemnt option under the touchscreen.

When the touchscreen first stopped working and I did not know it was a Windows driver, I spoke with a Windows tech. They told me to get in touch with HP. I got in touch with HP and they said my computer was not under warranty so they couldnt help me.

I've been on the HP forums, Windows forums and something called Ten Forums. No one had the answer. I am still open to suggestions on what I should try next.

    You are welcome.
If your device works fine before Feb 28 the had trouble on touchscreen later, you could system restore or roll back to previous time point.
On Windows side, drivers are update/installation by Windows update or device manager, if you have tried these ways, what you can do is reset this PC or reinstall system.
If it is a hardware issue, what we do on Windows is useless, we still need to contact manufacturer HP after-sale for help, if this device is not under warranty, we may need to pay for service. But I can’t understand that HP support will don’t care their product and customer……
