Trying to update Microsoft Word

I upgraded my Mac IOS to Catalina and am having problems with the 32 bit version of Microsoft Word. When I try to use your 'Updater pkg' I am able to install but not open 'because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.'
Is there a way for me to work with or solve this so I can update my MicroSoft Word?
