    Dear Andrew Mark2,

    Good day!

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist.

Based on your post regarding "Outlook is crashing in Windows server 2019". To understand the situation and be able to offer you relevant suggestions, we would need a little more information from you. Kindly help us in providing the following information.

However, Please see the known issue in Classic Outlook and Microsoft 365 applications crashing on Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019 - Microsoft Support.

This issue is tracked in the M365 Admin Center as MO978220.

To work around the issue, you can revert to the prior Version 2411 (Build 18227.20152):

    • Open a Command Prompt in Administrator context.
    • Type or paste the two commands into the Command Prompt window and press Enter after each:
    • cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun
    • officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.18227.20152
    • To prevent Office updating back to the latest build you can turn off updates by clicking File, Office Account, Update Options, Disable Updates.
    • Put a reminder on your calendar for February 11th to re-enable updates.  Or check back on this Known Issue in case it is addressed sooner.
    • The builds to revert are taken from the Update History page, for more information please go to Update history for Microsoft 365 Apps (listed by date).

If you still need further help, then please kindly share with me the above feedback after you tried it, and I will do my best to do more research and testing to help you further, thank you.

Thank you in advance for your understanding. Your patience and cooperation will be greatly appreciated. I hope for all the best!

    Sincerely,

    Microsoft Community Moderator
