Can anyone help?

A former IT employee of our company has created a spoof e-mail rule in the online exchange. He has also set a few exceptions for this rule. I did not understand what the rule I marked in yellow was created for.

Except if;
X-Forwared-to header includes 'mycompanydomainname.com'

    X-Forwarded is typically stamped by a load balancer or reverse proxy to identify the original sending client IP.

    In this rule, its probably there to ensure messages sent though that device to your domain aren't forwarded.
