I am having trouble installing SQL Server 2019, this is the error message:

The following error has occurred:

The folder 'C:\Users\alvar\Downloads\SQL2019[DirSharedForCurrentVersion]' does not exist. The folder is expected to exist to set permission on it.

Click 'Retry' to retry the failed action, or click 'Cancel' to cancel this action and continue setup.

Is there any utility to repair the SQL server registry or lost directories?

    Hi @Alvaro_Arancibia_P ,
    It seems this issue is related to a previous installation failure. And according to setup log, there are two instances on the computer. Are these two instances successfully installed?
    If not, you can do the following steps in this link to uninstall the SQL Server clearly.
    If the two instances are successfully installed, could you please share us the detail.txt in the setup log?

    Hi alvaroarancibiap,

    Sorry for replying late.
    Please try to download the setup.exe file from here in case the original setup file is corrupted.
    Please make sure to right click on setup.exe file and select run as administrator when you want to start the SQL Server installation. And disable any antivirus software, and turn off firewall for the time that the installation is running.
    If it does not work, please share us the summary.txt and detail.txt in setup log.

    To be honest, I have no idea of what is going on.

    I googled a little, and I found two old forum threads. Both have suggestions for how to resolve the problem, but there is no feedback indicating that they really worked.
