Hi,

We have windows firewall turned off on all windows servers in the environment. However, we now have to control SMB traffic. Most of the solution that I see in internet points to configuring inbound and outbound rules in windows firewall. But how can we control the traffic when windows firewall is turned off (for all the profiles) ? Please help.

    Hi ,

As far as I know ,the only way to control SMB traffic is via firewall.

Or if you want to disable SMB traffic without firewall, you may try to disable port 445 and port 139. Of cause, this is not a recommended method and may not take effect.

    Best Regards,

    Candy
