is it possible remove the new "Wireless Projection Banner" introduced in 1809 or at the very least move it so that it does pop-up every time I touch a tab in my browser?

Hello,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I understand that you want to remove the Wireless Projection Banner from the screen as it keeps popping when you open a browser. May I know, if the PC is still connected to the wireless display when you are using the PC?
Also, you can try clicking on the PIN icon next to the Settings icon on the banner to unpin it.
However, as per the section Wireless projection experience in the article what's new in Windows 10, version 1809, the banner is designed similar to remote desktop connection where it will be removed when the wireless display is disconnected.
Hope it helps.

This is a real annoyance!!!!
Basically you visit the notifications popup to start projection mode and if you use that same path the to disable it; you get the poor experience of the projection banner remaining on the screen.
If you use the banner itself to disconnect it more reliably tends to go away.
What paint's you into a corner with the banner is:
After the unpin action shouldn't the banner move the task bar or tray so you can re-access it?
I just noticed this too - if you use the banner to disconnect (so far) it gets rid of the banner, whereas using the Notification Area it stays until you restart / log off.
- Banner appears and you select the unpin button to get back screen real estate on your main monitor.
- When you are done displaying on the TV. Now the only way to disconnect to visit the original projection mode and disconnect.
- After the disconnection the banner re-appears and you are totally unable to do anything with it.

when you unpin the banner it doesn't go away, it just hides. if you mouseover where the banner was, it should pop back out, allowing you to re-pin or disconnect.
that's my issue. since it can ONLY be at the top, and it's more than half the width of the screen, it will ALWAYS be on top of any tabs i have in that middle area no matter how far i slide it right or left. if i unpin it, it's WAY too easy to accidentally mouseover when going for a tab there, and i've accidentally hit "disconnect" without meaning to before (and nearly hit it dozens more times).
there needs to be a way to truly hide it, no pop-out on mouseover, or move it to another part of the screen, or better still disable the banner from appearing at all in the first place. i'd prefer a global option ("never appear"), but i'd be happy with even something i have to opt for each time i connect. i don't think MS thought this through completely to realize that, unlike the remote desktop connection banner it emulates, wireless displays are used a LOT by regular users, home users, not just IT techs, sys-admins, etc.
