Microsoft Windows Search Indexer (searchindexer.exe) using high CPU.

searchindexer.exe is sucking up my CPU resources. The average CPU use is always around 50-55%. I tried disabling through services.msc and even removing it through Windows Feature on/off. But this process still manages to slide in and still hogging 50+% CPU. I even disabled indexing from drive indexing but it is not working.

Please help me remove this. i'm using i5 (5th gen). Windows 10 1803. I tried the method mentioned in superuser.com - but no luck.

If possible i want to remove this.

Good day! I apologize that you are having this issue and I am hoping we can work through it and fix it.

    Please try this fix:

First, clean boot the PC: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135...

2nd: Go to the services page again, (services.msc) and find "Windows search"

Go into the properties of it and change start up type to disabled. Restart your PC.

Go back into services and find that Windows Search again and then change it to automatic (delayed start)

3rd: Also Try to exhaust all options here: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/searchindexer-ex...

Please let me know what happens.
