Favorites in Photos

What does flagging a photo as "Favorite" in Photos do? I can't find anyway to search for "Favorite" as a parameter in File Explorer. How does "Favorites" function? What is it's purpose if not to filter search results?

    Hey All,

    Very Good Morning to all

    I have been reading the threads for those who are hitting stars but not able to see the photos in favorite nor can see the same tab as well.

    I have one shot solution::

    Remember Photos is just an microsoft app which have only access to default folders where it can access the photos and videos, If your files are present in some other location it won't be able access it.

    Simple Trick::

    1. Just add the folder where the photos and videos are contained.
    2. Open the photos and videos in photo app and hit the heart or right click add to favorites.

    3.Your work is done.

    Simply open the photo app

    Under Album>>Favorites(you can see now the content you have your hearts on)

    and yes just make sure to have the heart on photo app you must have some imaging software installed in your PC, Ex-photoshop CS3
