Security Code windows 10

Question

HI,

I have a security code to activate windows 10, this is for refurbish PC. the code unly has 10 digit and I would like to know how to use it. Th PC I want to activate is refurbish.

If this the WIndows 10 Product Key on an official COA sticker which has the licensed version on it so you know which version (Home or Pro) it will work on? Do you know for sure you installed the correct version?

Have you tried inserting the Product Key into Settings > Update & Security > Activation > Change Product Key. What does it report on the Activation settings page under Status and Edition?

Where did you get that 10 digit security code, a Windows 10 Product Key has 25 characters

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to Update and Security - Activation

What is reported under activation?

is not 25 characters, only 10. So I do not know how to use it.

I tried but it doesn't, it is only 10 digit, letters and numbers. it is a Win10 pro version for refurbish laptop.
