Hello. I found "/analyze:ruleset option" of cl.exe in the Visual Stusio 2017 15.7 Release note. I would like to use this option but unfortunately I use Visual Stusio 2017 15.6.6 and I can't change this Version because of my company's policy. My question is Is there a way to use this option on Visual Stusio 2017 15.6.6. I'm really glad if I can hear from anyone with a solution.

    Hi MATSUOKAHiroshi,

If possible, you can install a individual build tool in your environment. And it won't modify your visual studio.

    The build tool: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/productinfo/installing-an-earlier-release-of-vs2017#installing-the-earlier-release

    The directory cl.exe locates: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\BuildTools\VC\Tools\MSVC\14.16.27023\bin\Hostx86\x64

    Best Regards, Dylan

    Hi Dylan,
    Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately I couldn't apply this way to my environment this time because I have to use only Ver15.6.6 cl.exe to compile my product for some reasons.
But there is a possibility to be able to use in other product environment.
Your anwer helps me a lot.
    Thank you so much again.

    Best Regards,
    Hiroshi Matsuoka
