Nahimic companion, keeps reinstalling

Some days ago I got a popup, about if I agree with the terms of nahimic companion.

I looked and saw it was installed on my pc, I never installed it.

I tried to remove it, but it keeps getting back.

I don't use it, and I don't want it.

Any idea how to remove or that is it required?

    I think I found something,

    1. Open search
    2. Type "System Configuration"
    3. Press the tab "Services"
    4. Search for "Nahimic service" or press 'n' to fast search
    5. Disable the check mark, to disable it.

This will stop the software from reinstalling / starting at boot.

After this you can remove it, without having it be reinstalled.

I'm having this issue too. I already did this a couple times. I also deleted the files manually from system32. I even did a group policy edit and tried to prevent the driver from installing based on the device ID.  This is a virus. Not a program. (Yes I realize it is an audio enhancement software but it is acting like a virus.)

    Edit:

Finally got it to stop reinstalling by having to disable my on board audio in my bios. I should NOT have to do that. Microsoft/Nahimic/MSI need to get their **** together to fix this issue. If I don't want something running in the background, I should be able to stop it.

Ditto. Furthermore, its uninstaller is literally broken!

If you right-click on Nahimic Companion on the Start screen, select Uninstall, it takes you to the add/remove programs panel in Settings, but the app isn't listed.

    I've got the service disabled.

I used various methods to uninstall and block re-installing of the drivers.

I had to unblock driver re-installation because I found on my MSI motherboard*, removing the drivers disables digital output.

Actually their computer won't be crippled at all. The audio will still function just fine without nahimic drivers. Their computers will just use the basic Windows audio drivers which are absolutely fine to use for most anything with the exception of maybe music production.

If they don't want this software on their computer for whatever reason, they should absolutely be able to fully remove it and never have it come back. The fact that it is so difficult to remove is strange and should be looked into.
