2019-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4482887) failed to install with error 0x800f0982

Hello, my windows 10 LTSC 2019 keeps failing to install the latest update KB4482887 with error code 0x800f0982. I had tried download it from windows update catalog and installed manually, but result in the same error. I google the error code but can't find much useful information about it. My current system version is 17763.316.

I had run sfc /scannow and it says all my system files are fine. Nothing is corrupted.

I had tried running the windows update troubleshooter and it cannot identify the problem.

I had tried stop and restart windows update service and clean files in SoftwareDistribution folder but still no luck.

What is the reason for this failure, and what is a proper fix to this problem?

    Good idea, I uninstalled the update from the system and turned off the Windows Update service (disabled it).

    I had to do this with Windows 7, Windows 8 in the past, permanently due to Microsoft dumb update process and because they release this stuff not tested.  99% of these update don't even apply to what I do anyway, ever read the manifest of these updates, never applies to me.

    This is my last Windows system, never again.  Try Apple next.

    Surely this error code 0x800f0982 error code means something to someone in the know?

    Perhaps someone from Microsoft could enlighten us.

    I have searched "KB4482887" in english, french, and german forums: no other post that this one concerning KB4482887 installation.

    Hi,

    Same problem here.

    32bit Windows 10 Home.

    Samsung 1.6 Netbook. NP-N310

    I've tried everything I can think of including System File Checker and Update Troubleshooter.

    Any suggestions, please?

    I couldn't get this to work over the weekend, did everything you did not once but three times and few other things.

    Microsoft screwed this up as usual and people are having problems with it. 

    I uninstalled the update completely and removed it from my system. I'm not wasting wasting anymore time on it.
