What security process is followed within Microsoft with respect to Marketplace services / products ?

Ex. When new image / service is published by vendor, will that Marketplace solution is reviewed / tested and approved by Microsoft before publishing to customers ? or it will not tested / validated by Microsoft and published whatever vendor published.
